Fab Focal Club: Easter 2018

Focal is again running ‘The Fab Focal Club’ this Easter. This new school holiday club is specifically designed for NDIS-approved participants aged 13-17, who have standard intensity support requirements. The purpose of this club for teenagers is to develop everyday life skills, build friendships and have fun over the holidays! Participants will undertake a range of exciting experiences over the two weeks, including trips to ANZAC Memorial and Strike Bowling Alley in Brisbane , as well as cinema and games days. Taxi Subsidy Scheme to be reinstated under NDIS

The Palaszczuk Government will reinstate the Taxi Subsidy Scheme (TSS) for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants. Introducing Access 4000: Australia’s first disability access app

A revolutionary new smartphone app is helping people with disability navigate their way around Brisbane in an Australian first. Brisbane-based disability support service Carers Link, in partnership with Disability Support Queensland, has launched Access 4000: a smartphone app which provides disability access information on some of Brisbane’s venues and infrastructure. The app highlights access features like wheelchair and pram ramps, disabled toilets and parking, and support for low vision or blindness. NDIA releases NDIS price guide

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has released its 2017-18 NDIS price guide for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The pricing commences from July 1, 2017, and is reflective across the states of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania. However, several cities are yet to make the transition into NDIS.
