From the time we receive your application, we conduct an internal screening process on your suitability for a role and will typically make contact with you for a phone interview within a week.
For support worker roles, we then invite you to a recruitment session (usually running for 2-3hrs depending on attendees) where we will check your mandatory documentation, and ask you to participate in some short interviews with our team members.
Successful applicants are then reference checked and forwarded a job offer. If accepted, we facilitate an induction day prior to starting in your new role. We are typically able to onboard new employees within one month, depending on availability of mandatory documentation.
The items that may take the longest time to receive are the NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card (Working with Children Check). The sooner you begin the application process, the quicker we will be able to onboard you. You can apply for your Blue Card at the same time as applying for Disability Worker screening clearance through the Disability Worker Screening Clearance website.
Additional documents required for general support worker roles include a current first aid and CPR certificate, a current drivers licence as well as vehicle registration and appropriate vehicle insurance and safety certificate (roadworthy).

Generally yes, we empower clients by supporting them with a number of day-to-day activities including transport assistance, community access and support with everyday tasks such as grocery shopping and attending appointments.
However, we are always in need of superstar support workers in our after school care service and school holiday program where transporting clients by vehicle does not form part of support worker responsibilities.
If you are new to the industry, support workers begin with general care and outings with our clients. As your skill and experience progresses, you may be assigned to support clients who have more complex needs – coaching and ongoing professional development is available to all.
